  31.           OVERVIEW OF French PLUS!
  32.           -------------------------
  33.  
  34.           French Plus! is an educational program that works as
  35. both a tutorial and a testing program. The program is divided into
  36. three comprehensive sections: Vocabulary Review, Vocabulary
  37. Exercises, and Verb Conjugation Exercises. In the Demo Version
  38. several of the menu options have been disabled, but they are fully
  39. functional in the full version. In addition, the vocabulary in the
  40. demo version is limited to approximately 35 words. The full version
  41. of French Plus! comes with a combination of over 800 nouns,
  42. adjectives, and commonly used verbs, conjugated in four tenses. 
  43. In order to make this program compatible with as many systems as
  44. possible, accent marks have not been included. It is reccomended
  45. that a student use an French dictionary along with the French
  46. Plus! program when memorizing vocabulary.

  59.      The program can run from either a floppy disk drive, or you
  60. can install it on a hard drive by copying all of the program files
  61. into a single directory.

  64.           Vocabulary Review
  65.           -----------------
  66.      This section is intended to introduce the user to important
  67. French Vocabulary words. Nouns is presented in four forms:
  68. Singular, Plural, and Partative.  Adjectives are given in both
  69. singular and plural format, and their usual position (either before
  70. or after the modified noun) is explained. The section on
  71. prepositions explains the use of the preposition and how they
  72. combine with articles to form contractions. Verb review shows the
  73. conjugation of verbs in four tenses (the demo shows only three of
  74. the tenses.)

  76.           Vocabulary Exercises
  77.           --------------------

  79.      The exercise section tests how well you has memorized the
  80. vocabulary in the Review section. The exercises are generated in a
  81. random fashion to ensure that you has an understanding of the
  82. various uses of a word in varying contexts. Because of its random
  83. nature, the program may prompt for some unusual word combinations!
  84. The important thing is that you understand the grammatical
  85. structure.

  90.      Like the vocabulary, the verb conjugations are selected at
  91. random in each tense category.

  96.      To start the Demo version, simply type "Demo" at the system
  97.      prompt.
